Caroling for Cans Sings Joyfully About Rainier

Thank You Rainier. Caroling for Cans was a huge success this year. The first year we caroled, the Rainier Emergency Food Center received 450 pounds of non-perishable foods. We were all thrilled. Every year, our community’s enthusiasm and contributions have grown. This year the Rainier Chapel parking lot was full of carolers! George Johnson & Art Runyan delivered the bounty to the food bank this morning 2070 pounds of food plus cash donations. It was amazing to see so many high school students, Rainier FFA , cub, boy and girl scouts, adults, Rainier Education Foundation members and Rainier Lion's Club going door to door to sing Christmas carols and collecting food for our food bank. Carolers were pulled along on flat bed trailers, sitting on hay bales, singing carols while runners stopped at each house for food donations. Holiday Food will be distributed on Monday 12/22/14  from 1-7 pm for clients to pick up. The Rainier Emergency Food Center will be closed on Wednesday December 24th.
